| No one did one last month. So, I figured no one would care if I posted one this month.
Many a movie has been inspired by or has been an adaptation of a novel or short story, but many a writer has no doubt been inspired by a film. Write a short piece about a movie that has inspired you or one that's your favorite.

| I am a horror-movie lover through and through, but rarely am I “inspired” by watching one. Rob Zombie’s movies can sure get the wheels turning, but I wouldn’t call it inspiration. That’s just straight-out admiration for the man and his work.
Oddly, the movies that inspire me usually have a “feel good” theme to them, such as Mr. Holland’s Opus, or A Beautiful Mind. Now, both of those movies also have tragic themes in them, but that is exactly the roller coaster ride that we love to go on, in my opinion. I feel that a good book or a good movie should mimic real life as close as possible. Almost nobody leads a life that simply flat lines, every day, month after month. Therefore, a story with major ups and downs is more relatable and satisfactory to most of us than one that is full-tilt action or 100% depressing.
I also enjoy a movie with a great lesson or message, such as Easy Rider, filmed in 1969. That movie deals specifically with the concept of freedom; its consequences and benefits, and how people react to it in general. What a great idea! I *much* prefer a movie like that than one with seventeen car chases and twenty-two explosions. While those films may be entertaining, they hold little value to our culture, which is important to me.
I guess what it boils down to, is that with all the horribly negative news reports, movies, books and other media out there, it is very refreshing to watch a movie that deals with realistic characters that experience both good and bad things, with a positive overall feel. To Kill a Mockingbird comes to mind, as does Second Hand Lions, a great flick!
I realize that I mentioned a couple of books in this post, and it specifically called for movies, but both are ‘stories’, and I feel that the story is what is important. Whether you ‘watch’ it on the screen or in your mind, the story remains the same. It always does.

| I was tempted to edit my first post, but since this is a new happening, I figured I’d just post again.
I just watched a movie that REALLY inspired and touched me called Into the Wild. This movie represents all my feelings on things like big cities and the monetary system, and really affected me! I thought it odd that I happened to watch this flick on the same day that I posted about movies. If you have not seen this film, it comes *highly* recommended by me.

| Sounds like a good movie.
I enjoyed "Almighty Bruce" or "Bruce Almighty" can't remember the order, but the movie hit home.
I would say of the many movies I watched, I fall in love with Love stories, but I am a junkie for pulse pounding mindless action movies as well.
However, recently I watched Marley and Me and "Stranger then Fiction" and they both taught me more about Character Driven writing and stories then I could have ever hoped to learn by reading.
