| The title has a long story, but it is based on the Character Urs from a very seemingly enjoyable novel where the MC, Urs, hits his dad in the head with a shovel to save his life.
Anyway.
A Friend gave this name on another Forum and asked that I check this place out.
If she liked this place then that was good enough for me.
Welcome and Salutations to all.

What was the name of the novel and it's author, by the way? I'll answer that for him, just in case he doesn't remember. It's from Rumo and his Miraculous Adventures by Walter Moers, my absolute favorite book!

| Hey Bick :: Hugs ::
Good to see you here! This is quite the forum, not what I expected at all.
and I have been tempted to buy the book base don Bicks Recommendation. There is a whole series involved in it if I am correct.
But I just started reading "Orcs", I;ll get to Moers next. Is it still in Print Bick?

It's from Rumo and his Miraculous Adventures by Walter Moers, my absolute favorite book! I just googled it. It certainly sounds like an interesting read.

It is part of a Series, and if you saw my blog post a few weeks ago, I screamed when I saw there is a 4th coming out in April of next year. I'm going to preorder if I can manage. But yes! All of them are in print right now. Theres from the first to last (They don't need to be read in order, but you can tell which is first because of happenings in the books corresponding with time) The 13 1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear Rumo and His Miraculous Adventures <=== Best one. The City of Dreaming Books <=== Tied... as the best one xD Then there is... the Alchemist Apprentice coming next... I think! Don't quote me on that, I can't remember the title at the moment. And technically, Dreaming books timewise comes before All of them, but Dreaming books make a reference to Rumo, since in Rumo it has a good description of the setting of Dreaming Books... xD Anyway. Now that I've bored you again...! - Quote :

| Orcs is not a Diskworld book. Just a book I saw in Barns&Nobel, red dye along the edge and looked rather cool. So I picked it up and began to leaf though the book. 14.99 + Tax later and I am now trying to finish it.
But brutal and violent to tell the truth, but then again I am only on page... 3.

I've gotten side-tracked from Thud!, and now I'm reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Thud! has so many characters! I guess I'll have to re-check it out from the Library D: - Quote :

Haha, well. I myself can't stand that kind of stuff, normally. Stephen King's books are enough to turn me away. ./squeamish

You're gonna hurt yourself girl.
As for the Violence, more a "warning" to anyone that does not like that kind of thing. It each their own.

I'll take that in a good way yes, it is a good way, and you can thank Bick for my arrival. It has a fun look about this place, almost whimsical, laid back and easy, not trying to hard to be formal and professional.. in a evil and scary kind of way. I like the theme. - Kellycakes wrote:

I'm glad you like it so far. We do are professional, but we wanted to be different. Different in an unique way. All the other writing forums look alike, so we wanted to stand out from the crowd.

| She is already here. Signed on about the same time I did..
I decided on the Urs, because that was the nick name Bick gave me, I liked it, and I have been using Ungood a lot, not to mention getting a wee bit sick of everyone thinking I am a George Orwell 1984 fan, so I kinda liked the change a bit, still have the U to start the name and it is not too far off so I am at the bottom of most alphabetical lists.
But if you want you can call me Ungood.
I try to be pretty easy going about things like that.
