Monthly Writing Prompt
For this month's writing prompt write a scene using the following sentence to start;

The streets were deserted. Where was everyone? Where had they all gone?

Look Back

When not able to write ahead, it helps to look back. In my case I had written a paragraph ahead of the story. What I needed to do was add a section of exposition (talking) presenting some facts. In going back, I realized that I could insert a section where a 'tour' of the surroundings could be done. This allowed for character interaction, story development, and other things that enabled me to present the facts in an entertaining manner.

One should not face a writer's block with the mentality of bursting through it. I have found in my own experience that a writer's block is usually due to my mind indicating that it has a problem in 'channeling' the story. One reason might be a re-imagining of certain story points. Another reason however is that there is a problem in where you are at in the story, so you need to look back and find out the problem with the 'journey' that prevents the tale from advancing.

I'm a Taurus, (the bull) and yes I'm very stubborn sometimes. I tend to hold on to things, and when I'm wronged I will always remember and forgive eventually. I'm bound by stability. I need to have order and peace in order to operate. I'm very creative and tend to have a slight problem with confidence and self esteem. Yep I'm a Taurus, its true. I hold almost all the characteristics of 'The Bull'.

Well I have to admit that a lot of things that are described in an Aries sign description are true.

I can be a very impatient person, which I could control a little bit, though. I can be stubborn as well, but not as much as a Taurus. I do have the desire to go outside once in a while and just experience the day in the scenery, by relaxing under a tree with a book in my hand or just sunbathing.

In a relationship, I am an open person who takes a relationship very serious. When I love I love with my entire heart and it is one that has the ability to last forever.

I'm a Virgo and the only thing about that sign that's true to me is the whole perfectionist thing. Otherwise, I don't really see that it applies.

Now, my daughter's a Gemini and she is 100% Gemini. I've never known anyone less able to make up their mind or prone to changing it.
