I have a friend who's in an abusive relationship. All you can do is wait for them to get tired of being treated badly and start writing their eulogy in the case that they don't.

I think the government should worry about other things then whom is married to whom and who is having babies... unless of course the ones having babies are the one's looking for a government check, then the government should really get involved in their lives and either get them educated/employed or get them 'fixed'.

It's a waste of time and worse then having no sexual education at all. Young people are going to have sex. They've been doing it since the start of all time. No amount of advising them not to or trying to scare them is going to stop the majority of them. So, you may as well give them some condoms and cross your fingers and hope they actually use them.

I'm for it. Hell, I think we should put more people to death. Child rapist and repeat violence offenders would be a good place to start.

I'm for it. Religious morals have no place in these sorts of things and I think we should all remember that not that long ago people of different races weren't allowed to marry for very similar reasons.

If a person or a couple are fit to be parents and can provide for a child and want to give an unwanted child a loving home then they should be able to.

Usually it's a selfish choice made by a woman who has already shown herself incapable of making smart choices in regards to her body.

I have one, most people do. I accept that, but I don't accept anyone who tries to push their religion or their religious morals onto me or the general public as a whole. Basically, if I don't ask you about your religion, I don't want to hear about it... and I won't be asking.

No, but I don't feel bad about it. It's all meant and designed to be misunderstood or keep us ignorant of what's really going on.

No, the illusion that it does is due to the cause and effect. Something happens which leads us to something good so we assume that the first thing happened so that the second could happen, but that's just another example of the human desire to see patterns in things we don't understand.

I think people get what they set themselves up to get through their own actions and attitudes. If you think the world is a negative place and you always have a negative attitude then everything that happens to you is going to be viewed as negative and people are going to see you negatively and react to you negatively. There is nothing divine in this. It's just human nature and cause and effect.

If a friend were in an abusive relationship, what would you do?

It really depends how bad it is. When my sister was in a relationship, I confronted her about it in a more humorous way then serious, though that didn’t really help and she just got angry with me. I went to the problem itself, her boyfriend. And I think the entire time I knew him he beat me up at least 4 times because I’m not very strong and he was over 6 feet tall. So if I were to do it again, I think I would just talk to my friend, and if that didn’t work. I’d just be there for her/him.

My father came in his work uniform (he was an airplane mechanic, free flying.) with two ginormous ice cream cones, both our favorite flavors. He gives them to me and my sister and hugs us. I went from drug-addicted, alcoholic high school dropout to College Student (./cough Student of the Month) who’s actually doing really good in school for once and being an active student (making a study group and I took the initiative and designed our newsletter three times [They didn’t like the first two] and am taking the reigns on writing/editing it as well) It actually feels odd to be proud of myself, but there I am. Happy for the first time since I was just a kid.

My need to please others. I go too far in “thinking of others before yourself.”
