Look Back
When not able to write ahead, it helps to look back. In my case I had written a paragraph ahead of the story. What I needed to do was add a section of exposition (talking) presenting some facts. In going back, I realized that I could insert a section where a 'tour' of the surroundings could be done. This allowed for character interaction, story development, and other things that enabled me to present the facts in an entertaining manner.
One should not face a writer's block with the mentality of bursting through it. I have found in my own experience that a writer's block is usually due to my mind indicating that it has a problem in 'channeling' the story. One reason might be a re-imagining of certain story points. Another reason however is that there is a problem in where you are at in the story, so you need to look back and find out the problem with the 'journey' that prevents the tale from advancing.

| Have a tattoo? How about an unusual piercing? Share a piece of something that makes you...YOU!
What is it? Where is it? and Why did you get it?

| I have a tat on my right shoulder of a nine pointed star. Nine is a positive number that I associate with the nine muses. Of course, there is always nine lives and cloud nine.
A little ambiguous, but it was something I new I wouldn't regret down the road. So far, I haven't.

| Nope, no tattoo. Life is full of changes, so attempting some permanent mark is silly. I think tattoos on females are really silly. They want us to look them in the face and treat them with respect, then they give us another reason NOT to look them in the face and wonder about their sanity. | |

| There has to be more than this on the board. I have 3 holes in my right ear, one in my nose (not used now), 2 holes in my left ear, a ring in my right nipple, a black dragon on my left arm, the characters for "prisoner/outlaw" on my right arm, my calf is covered with a tribute tat of a question mark with downward pointing angel wings, and I'm scheduled for another tat around X-mas on my forearm.
I can't possibly be the only one... come out wherever you are!

| This was already sort of covered in a survey posted by Juju, here was my answer there, it is still the same: I have six; compass symbol on the back of my neck, water symbol arm ban on my left arm, the word star in Chinese surrounded by small stars on my right upper arm, Baphomet (star shaped goat head) just above my navel, inverted cross made of vampire skulls and surrounded by fire just to the left of my pubic area, and artist rendering of a Bast statue I've owned for years on my outer right thigh... and yes, I plan to get more. The only piercings I currently have are ear, I have nine of them total, nose (left 'wing'), and my lebrat. And TerishD you are welcomed to question my sanity at will, but I have surely given you better reasons then a few tattoes by now, and you can look at any part of my body your comfortable with. | |

Oh, I knew that I was going to get shot down when I typed it, but the board was going a little slow and I decided to make myself a clay pigeon. Truthfully, I feel that I came out rather well (and the thread does seem to have picked up). As for looking, I completely enjoy the female form (tatooed or not). The only reason that I don't look, is that I then want to touch.
