Look Back
When not able to write ahead, it helps to look back. In my case I had written a paragraph ahead of the story. What I needed to do was add a section of exposition (talking) presenting some facts. In going back, I realized that I could insert a section where a 'tour' of the surroundings could be done. This allowed for character interaction, story development, and other things that enabled me to present the facts in an entertaining manner.
One should not face a writer's block with the mentality of bursting through it. I have found in my own experience that a writer's block is usually due to my mind indicating that it has a problem in 'channeling' the story. One reason might be a re-imagining of certain story points. Another reason however is that there is a problem in where you are at in the story, so you need to look back and find out the problem with the 'journey' that prevents the tale from advancing.

| About a week ago I started my laptop and everything seemed to be fine. All of a sudden my display went black and the window I had open was in the middle of the screen. Like you would center a wallpaper, with the error message:
The ialmrnt5 display driver has stopped working normally safe your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality. The next time you reboot the machine the dialogue will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to Microsoft.
After a while it turned blue and I got an error saying:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ialmrnt5
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicated problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.
Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates.

I recently tried to install a game which of 2 CD's only took the first one. I got an error with the second CD and so just canceled it. It seems that it's a problem with the display driver, but installing a newer one didn't solve the problem.
I have to start it in safe mode, because it shuts down in normal mode after about 20 seconds. I ran avast anti-virus and didn't find anything, also checked with HijackThis and couldn't find a problem.
Rebooting didn't solve the problem either, so I tried to reinstall Windows XP. For about 30 minutes after reinstalling everything was how it was suppose to be, but then it shut down again with the same error.
I can't delete the partition the Windows XP is on it, because I don't have the recovery CD for Windows XP anymore. And when I reinstall it from my computer, it would delete all the files, so it's not possible.
When I start the computer it also gives me the error that there was a server problem with the computer and that I can send the information to Microsoft Windows. Sent it every time the message came up.
I'm not a computer expert, so I have no idea what else I could do. Is somebody here who might be able to help me?

| Well, the simple reply is find that file and delete it. Of course, Windows does not make that easy at all. In fact, Windows could well tell you that it won't delete it.
I am old school, so what I would do you probably cannot (like get an old Windows 95 or 98 CD and use it to wipe your hard drive - as in those days there were not previous versions of Windows to look for and protect). I also tend to format my hard drive in the FAT format, so I can use an old DOS floppy (on my computers that still have a floppy) to boot and go looking for problem files.
Some things to do - First hope that the file is not considered protected, and delete it.
Second, use ctrl-alt-del and hope that the file is listed, then stop it, then go see if you can delete it (I have had Windows reload the thing faster than I can switch screens).
Third, go into msconfig and see if the file is identified and tell Windows not to load it upon start (so you can then delete it).
Fourth, uh, you did try to uninstall the game? Yeah, yeah, I know - Windows did not remove that file and probably said that it could not uninstall ('Load up the shotguns, Ma, as I am going to Redbone').
Fifth, pay money. Yep, you knew that it would come to that.
