| Subject: Yet another year has passed! January 24th 2012, 7:40 pm | |
| Hello Scribblers. Hope this is finding you well and life has been treating you amazingly special so far. My year has came with a lot of stress. My brother, who was too young has passed away. He had a brain tumor pressing on his optic nerve which slowly caused him to go blind. He wasn't completely blind but he kept putting off his surgery. He was someone who was a ladies man, he had a new one quite often. Charming and smart, most times a prick, more so since he was diagnosed. The tumor started causing him to have seizures. Then he fought with his current lady who he's been with for a minute more than others. After two days for not answering the phone they found him in the bathroom, gone. He was scared to have the surgery, I get that, but he also knew that if he kept putting it off, that same outcome would occur. At least with the surgery he would have had a chance to live a full life. I never understood death but now I realize maybe I never understood him either. What would you have done in this situation? What could possibly be going through your mind had you been diagnosed? Would you have the surgery or not? Would you choose death over possibly living? -- Truthfully, I think some good character building could come out of this. | |
