Monthly Writing Prompt
For this month's writing prompt write a scene using the following sentence to start;

The streets were deserted. Where was everyone? Where had they all gone?

Look Back

When not able to write ahead, it helps to look back. In my case I had written a paragraph ahead of the story. What I needed to do was add a section of exposition (talking) presenting some facts. In going back, I realized that I could insert a section where a 'tour' of the surroundings could be done. This allowed for character interaction, story development, and other things that enabled me to present the facts in an entertaining manner.

One should not face a writer's block with the mentality of bursting through it. I have found in my own experience that a writer's block is usually due to my mind indicating that it has a problem in 'channeling' the story. One reason might be a re-imagining of certain story points. Another reason however is that there is a problem in where you are at in the story, so you need to look back and find out the problem with the 'journey' that prevents the tale from advancing.

burn the pictures,
burn the letters,
burn it all.
we'd burn down this town
if given the chance.
you and me?
we're just alike.
but you gave up the fight.
you left this place,
and you left me behind.
you didn't even stop to say good bye.
you can't burn the memories.
go a head, close your eyes,
grind your teeth,
scream and shout.
Now make your choice.
I'm still in this town,
are you going to burn it down?

Take some time and put some thought into what you are doing, and you can have it actually express the emotion you desire. While you might have intense feelings while typing something out, it takes careful thought to really make something blare out its message. Learn to let your feelings grow in a controlled positive manner, and you might be surprised at the quality of what you write.

Keep smiling. Don't be afraid to let them know that you are really crazy.

Adult Christian fiction quite different than all the usual lame stuff in that market.  "Dilemma of Dreams" now in hard back.

You have something dark and interesting inside you, and this was okay, but its always just going tobe only okay and sort of superficial if you don't look inwards more and bring what you see out into the words you use.
